The recipe for the pineapple upside cake has a mistake in the time for the glaze it should be 10 min. not 30 min. The first one I made the glaze burned even on low heat but when I tried again for 10 min. it was fine.
Has anyone tried a classic pineapple upside down cake in the skillet using canned pineapple slices? I wonder if it would work much more easily than creating this glaze from scratch. Thoughts!
Hi! We haven’t tested this recipe with canned pineapple, but it should work fine. If you want a gooey, caramelized cake, though, you shouldn’t skip the glaze, no matter if you use canned pineapple or fresh pineapple.

Also noticed it does not have the oven temperature.

Yep! That’s what we use in our recipe.
