A tangy, stir-together sauce with two mustards is the not-so-secret coating that creates these finger-licking Honey-Mustard Chicken Wings.
Honey-Mustard Chicken Wings
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
- 12 chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats, wing tips discarded
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¾ cup stone-ground mustard
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
- Position oven rack in upper third of oven. Preheat oven to 425°. Lightly spray 15-inch cast-iron skillet with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, stir together chicken, salt, and pepper. Place on prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, stir together stone-ground mustard, honey, and Dijon; reserve half of mixture in a small bowl. Brush chicken with remaining mustard mixture.
- Bake until golden brown and an instant-read thermometer inserted in center of wings without touching bone, registers 170°, 10 to 15 minutes more.
- Stir mayonnaise into reserved mustard mixture; serve with wings.
