Herb-Parmesan Popcorn
Makes about 12 cups
Ingredients
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Dutch Oven Popcorn
- ½ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add dill, oregano, parsley, salt, and garlic powder; cook for 1 minute.
- In a large bowl, stir together Dutch Oven Popcorn and cheese. Pour herb butter over popcorn mixture, and stir until coated. Serve immediately.

You should brown the butter. There is too much water in the melted butter and you end up with soggy popcorn.

Hi Sarah, you certainly could brown the butter if you wanted a thicker drizzle with a nuttier flavor! That sounds delicious! However, if you use real butter with the ingredients this recipe calls for, the herbs and Parmesan actually help keep the butter from being too runny. There’s a pretty large amount of popcorn to be covered, as well, so it gets equally distributed. Full-fat butter is the key!
