We’re opening up our spring cupboard to share some of our favorite cookware, ingredients, sauces, and more!
Smithey No. 12 Grill Pan
South Carolina-based Smithey Ironware further expanded its impressive lineup with this No. 12 Grill Pan, and we think it was certainly worth the wait. It features Smithey’s characteristic beautiful finish, a classic square shape, high walls, and dual ergonomic handles for ease of use. The pan also features wide, raised interior ridges, which give your tender meats and veggies deep, attractive grill marks while imparting flavor. Like all Smithey cast iron, this piece will be a staple in cast iron fanatics’ cookware collections for generations to come. We love using the Smithey No. 12 for our Grilled Apricot-Chipotle Spatchcock Chicken!
Camellia Beans Red Kidney Beans
In 1923, L.H. Hayward began sourcing and selling the finest red beans he could find at the old French Market in New Orleans, and his son, Gordon Hayward, trademarked Camellia Brand after his mother’s favorite Southern flower. Still owned and operated by the Hayward family to this day, Camellia has continued to sell the highest-quality beans available for more than 100 years. Use Camellia red beans for dishes like our Red Beans and Rice with Ham Hock and Sausage!
Holy Smoke Smoked Olive Oil
Indulge in the tantalizing allure of an exquisite creation that transcends ordinary culinary experiences. Cold-pressed from premium olives, this smoked olive oil is a masterpiece of flavor, skillfully infused with the essence of smoldering wood. Each bottle encapsulates the richness of tradition and quality craftsmanship. Elevate your dishes with a drizzle of this liquid gold, perfect for salads, sautéing, or as a dip for artisan bread. This would be the perfect complement to Darryl Postelnick’s Four P’s Pinwheel Skirt Steaks.
Yellowbird Original Habanero Hot Sauce
Some like it with a sweet heat, some like it with an acidic tang, and some like it with nothing but pure fire. No matter what you prefer, there’s a hot sauce out there to satisfy, and that’s where Yellowbird’s habanero-flavored sauce comes in. It’s the Texas-based company’s cornerstone and most popular offering, and the harmony of peppers, garlic, carrots, and tangerine shines when drizzled over your favorite fish tacos or chicken wings. Try it over our Spicy Chicken Fajitas!
Chefs We Love: Jessica Robinson

A Farmgirl’s Kitchen started about seven years ago with a collection of cast iron-cooked heirloom recipes from Jessica’s own family farm. After publishing two cookbooks, she started sharing her love of cooking, baking, and using cast iron online. Her goal is to re-create old-fashioned recipes and meals your Southern ancestors made while using simple-to-find, high-quality ingredients. She loves how recipes handed down for generations continue to bring fond memories and joy to others and inspire them to bake from scratch, make home-cooked meals, or venture into home canning. When Jessica and her husband got married, she was gifted a cast-iron skillet, and it’s become what she uses to cook in exclusively on her site. We’re pretty fond of these Cherry Hand Pies! you can find by visiting her site or following her Instag
